There are extremely accurate correlations between the measured waveforms in LLSB activated sludge treatment, which enable the use of algorithms. As a result, these waveforms may be used to accurately reproduce the optimum conditions for microorganism processing.

The intake load, as judged from the dissolved oxygen concentration waveform, decreases in order C<B<A.

The automatic control of hybrid lagoon facilities adopts a learning-control technique, which takes into account the allosteric interactions of microorganisms, consecutive reaction characteristics, and time lags for adaptation of the microorganism system, and other factors.

Creation of a microorganism reaction program, and program evaluation, require general knowledge of microbiology as well as engineering expertise.
