13. Automatic Control System
(1) Hard wears.

Hybrid lagoon automatic control systems enable accurate control of nitration and denitration action, by using sensors to detect the state of microorganism processing within the hybrid lagoon, and feeding the results of waveform analysis back to the aeration control system.

The following quantities are monitored:

  • dissolved oxygen concentration (0 to 15 mg/liter)

  • oxidation-reduction potential (± 1000 mv)

  • pH (1 to 14)

  • air and water temperatures (-20 to +80 C)

  • pump facilities (kW * hrs, kWh/d)

By crosschecking the waveforms from sensors monitoring each of these quantities, the microorganism reactions within the basin can be accurately grasped. Hence the personnel in charge of operation can easily determine the state of wastewater treatment without any time lag.

The dissolved oxygen concentration waveform characteristics are as follows.
